The All NEW carta marina cx
Possibly the raddest creation we have ever worked with. Enter the Kraken! The Carta Marina in new cross weave fusion (CX) technology making it the lightest touring board we've ever made at just over 20lbs coupled with a new original piece by the extremely talented Jenny Kirby. The original art shown here held by founders Ryan and Mandy is a multi media original piece. Digital printed, then hand painted and overlaid with D epoxy resin features. This piece is truly amazing to see in real life. The process to bring this to a board involved nearly a dozen ultra hi-res photos stitched together to bring an eye-popping board to life!

What is CX Technology?
CX fabric is a new way to incorporate dropstitch into our builds. Regular drop stitch is made from millions of strings, straight up and down, that hold the top and botom layers of an isup together. CX fabric is similar except the strings are at a slight angle creating a lateral X pattern. This allows us to build a board with less strings in the fabric while maintaining the same rigidity and durability. Using this fabric across all our new builds eliminates 20% of the weight making our CX boards 20% lighter!
